Caterpillar Club
Our After-School Program

Our Caterpillar Club riding program is designed to teach school age children the basics of English riding and horsemanship. Your child will learn the basics skills of riding in safe and supervised setting while enjoying bonding with one of our adorable ponies. Our trainers will carefully match each student's ability and riding level with an appropriate horse or pony.

Horseback riding is a wholesome and fun recreational activity that offers many benefits for children. Riding can improve balance and motor coordination, hand-eye coordination, core strength and muscular development. Riding horses can put children in touch with nature and enhance their character development. Some studies have shown that handling, riding, and caring for a horse, can develop positive traits, like responsibility, accountability, patience, level-headedness, empathy, kindness, and self-discipline.

Join us after school this fall on our beautiful 56 acres property, only 13 miles South of Downtown Austin and 12 miles from Westlake, South Austin. Kindergartners through 5th graders enjoy learning horsemanship and how to care for ponies. Our Caterpillar Club riding program is designed to teach school age children the basics of English riding and horsemanship. Our trainers will carefully match each student's ability with an appropriate horse or pony. All Caterpillars will receive individual riding instruction, learn about horse care, and do a craft or activity each day. No prior riding experience is necessary.

Our Fall Semester for 2018 is on Tuesday afternoons. Students receive a healthy snack, horsemanship lessons, and 45-60 minutes of mounted instruction in small groups.
